Switching Virtual Pickups Kills Signal

I posted this before, but nobody answered. Have you not noticed when you switch pickups on the JTV VARIAX SETTINGS the sound gets canceled out? So if you are in the spank, and you go from the neck pickup to the middle pickup (or any pickup combo) unlike a real guitar or the older Variaxes the sound dies until you strum again. A real dealbreaker for me... no spillover from 1 model or setting to the other. So if you are in the middle of a lead and want to switch from the neck to the bridge pickup instead of getting a bright signal your lead dies.
Thoughts?
Reminds me of the Strymon Timeline when it first came out. When you had a delay and switched to another patch the 1st delay signal would stop dead. They fixed this in an upadate.
Still nobody has anything to say about this?
I actually don't remember this happening with previous updates. Maybe it is just my imagination on that. But I noticed it is happening now. Seems like it started with one of the recent updates?
I don't know...the one I bought did it from the beginning.
What surprises me is how this could ever be allowed by l6. It just seems so basic to the operation of an electric guitar. Doubly puzzling since they had this with the older 300 Variax guitars. It cannot even be called a feature. Being able to switch pickups mid play is a necessity.
This is a bug that l6 is now aware of and will try to fix.
I too noticed this bug after the latest update (Maybe I didnt notice it before). Not only does the volume drop when switching between some of the presets with the toggle switch, but I also noticed the volume drop with the acoustic models.
For example: If I am playing with mags and press my model knob (already on the Acoustic Bank), my acoustic has very little volume, but if I change the model knob or toggle, and then switch back to the original setting, then the volume is normal.
I was playing a gig last night and had to switch from mags to my acoustic model and the volume was not there. I was starting off the song, and it was ruined bacuse you couldnt hear me. Then I had to stop what I was playing and "Fix" my acoustic. This needs to be fixed in the next update (sooner rather than later).
Other than that, I LOVE my JTV.
Any update or fix for this? I'm having the same issue after updating from 1.71 to 1.82.
I've got a JTV-59 on 1.82 and I only notice this issue on a handful of models.
For example, switching between the 6 string "chimes" is fine but switching between the 12 strings I get the cut out.
Luckily for me it's not that big a deal. Would be nice to get it fixed though.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
