Line 6 Pod HD Edit

Hi

 

I just got my Pod HD Bean today and wow what a pleasant suprice sondwise 2nd time and there have been improvments in the amp models but now i have a very annoying issue and hope its not a hardware issue.Well the issue is when i start up my line 6 Edit after i start Up my Pod HD all the presets load fine but as soon as i try with the mouse to adjust the parameter on amps ect ect the whole software freezes in the beggining it was fine and after a hour or so the issue started.I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the newest drivers using line 6 uninstall tool even reflashed newest firmware using line 6 monkey but the problem persist??btw i have also uninstalled and installed line 6 pod HD edit and also tried another usb port.still wont help hope anyone can help me out cant be the usb cabel i used it on my Pod x3 until 2day could use Gearbox editor without these issues??also the monkey software can see my Pod HD so i cant figure it out

    A new update to my issue it seems that there is a issue with the Fbv expresse controler Mk 1 .As said its the old version not the Mk2 with the usb when i unplug it seems like i can use the Pod Hd edit and use the mouse to tweak the parameter on the software.When i plug it in the issues is there again.I was told the old version Fbv Expresse Mk1 older version will work fine with the Pod Hd Bean .but it happens on the 1A user if i switch to 1B and choose a amp then there is no issue or another bank and use lets say 1 B seems like its the very 1st user patch??please dont tell me i need to buy a Fbv Expresse MK 2 For the issue to resolve?seems to me the only diffrence is the usb connection on the Mk 2 version.And i can say i checked the cable and it worked always fine with my Pod x3 have anyone had the same issue please line 6 hope you can reply maybe its a setting on the Pod HD

    Hey crunchpicker,

       

      I hooked up a FBV Express MKI to the POD HD Bean running flash memory 1.33 and ran the HD Edit 1.04. I was able to make changes within the edit software with the mouse right away without any crashes. I was able to change presets using the FBV as well without any crashes. I made changes to presets using the HD Bean itself as well without any crashing.

       

      Please try removing any additional unnecessary USB and firmware devices from your computer when troubleshooting this issue. Make sure to connect it directly to a USB port and not a USB hub, extension, or keyboard of any kind, preferably connect it to a USB port on the rear of computer. Try using additional USB cables and every USB port available.

       

      Make sure that your operating system is up to date as well.

       

      Please try this on a different computer and see if you experience the same results.

      I have done all that you sugested already even the cables new ones each usb port (no hub) ect ect and its still the same .The wierd thing about this issues is on the POD HD unit i have no isses at all can change the parameters just fine on the LINE 6 EDIT when i unplug my FBV EXPRESE MK 1 then all is fine.I have done a test the issues ocures usualey on the 1st presets or 2nd of every bank for example these ones froze up on me as soon as i try to edit the parameters especialey on the amp section 01 a Son Of Plexi 01 b Spin To Win 02 a Jimi Got Gyped 07a Cuss And Blood 11a Plugged In Baby  and ect ect as you see its all the 1st presets (a )preset of the banks also User preset 1a does the same to get back i have to switch to channel 1 b on the foot controler and back then its ok again until i try to edit the preset??I dont have another Pc to try this out but know that i just bought this unit 3 days ago and before that used the POD X3 and no issues at all is it maybe a faulty unit i have? Usb port or FBV port on the POD HD or a bug in the software??hope you can help me out. My windows 7 32 bit is up to date too

    crunchpicker,

       

      I have been able to verify this problem on a POD HD bean with the latest firmware and latest POD HD Edit software.  Seems to only happen with the FBV Express (original) on the first few presets of a Setlist.  We will be logging a bug for this problem.  We hope to see this fixed in a future update.
