Low volume on guitar

I am using Pod 2 with a UX 2 and Ableton Live.  The guitars I use are a Martin D-28 with I-Beam active, and a Classic Vibe Squier Tele.   The problem I am having is that many of the amps have low volume even when the volume on the guitars and the cabs are set to max.  Any suggestions?
