Just got my DT25 today, and I'm loving it. I have what is not quite the dream rig - I've got an HD500, a DT25, and a Vax 600, which I love, but it's close enough for the next 6 months or so.

I tried out your patches, and they are pretty convincing. I see they're made for full power mode, but it's bedtime here, and my kids sleep above my little basement studio, so I've tried them in LPM, and they are fine with that as well. I did find that when I first switched on a patch, it sounded good, but when I switched back to it, the amp was turned off, so it was using the DT25's knobs for the amp, and it was distorted. Never mind, saved the patch with the amp on, set it to auto select my acoustic model on the 600, and I'm all good.

Thanks. I'll be able to test them out at a higher volume tomorrow, but I think they'll work well. I'm curious - what was the process that you used to set up the 5 ( ! ) eq's? I'm interested to know how you set it up.

Before you go re-adjusting all your tone settings...What output mode was the POD HD unit set to?

If it's Power Amp Combo which is the default setting - you should have less bottom end response, which is based nearly 100% oon how you have the DT amp tone settings on channels 1 set up.

However, if you're like myself, I choose to override the default setting and put the out put mode into Studio/Direct. This put out all the tone from the HD unit, and I'm not 100% certain if it is added to the DT amp tone asettings or just overrides them. It "sounds like" it adds to them. Perhaps this document I wrote might be of help?

By the way, I just tried my patches on my DT50 for the first time. They sounded horrible! The bass response was way off. So if you're playing on a DT50, you'll have to reduce the bass quite a bit.

Just completed my dream rig a few weeks ago with the addition of a JTV-59. Now that I've upgraded everything to the new firmware, I've been working on acoustic sounds for use with my DT25 in live situations. I just uploaded to Customtone two HD500 presets for use with the Martin(1) and Gibson(5) JTV sounds. My goal was to get as close to an "acoustic straight to PA" sound as I could. Since I'm fairly new to the dream rig, I'd appreciate any feedback on how you think they sound to you. I know everyone's ears are different, but maybe you're hearing something I missed. Again, this is JTV into HD500 using a VDI cable then into a DT25 using the L6 Link. The DT25 is in full power mode with volume at about 50%.
