The Line 6 web pages (the "Website") are owned and operated by Line 6, Inc. (hereinafter "Line 6"). The following privacy statement describes the practice of Line 6 with respect to the collection, maintenance and disclosure of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") and non-personally identifiable information you may voluntarily submit to Line 6 in connection with the Website. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND SAFE HARBOR PRINCIPLES

Registration Information About You
We ask for Personal Information about you when you create a "User Account" in order to purchase software, software upgrades, product accessories, and other materials from Line 6 (including, without limitation, your name, billing address, email address, credit card number and expiration date). We ask for Personal Information about you when you register your Line 6 product(s) with us (including, without limitation, your name, address, and email address). We ask for Personal Information about you when you register for a user name to participate in the Website bulletin boards (including, without limitation, your email address). We may also ask you for information about your interests, preferences and future needs, so that we can improve the Website content.
Newsletter Subscription Information
From time to time we provide information to our users in the form of electronic and/or print newsletters. When you create a User Account or register products with Line 6, you will be added to our mailing list and will receive announcements and information about Line 6 and Line 6's Service Partners (defined below). Please see the "Line 6 Service Partners" and "Opt-Out Policy" paragraphs below for opt-out information if you do not want to receive announcements and information from Line 6 Service Partners. The newsletters will be emailed or mailed directly to the address that you provide when you register. You may also subscribe to receive electronic newsletters and information, without registering a product, by submitting your email address only.
Service Email Links
We may place email links on the Website to allow you to contact us directly. The Personal Information you provide in these email links is used to respond directly to your questions or comments. We may also file your comments to improve the Website, or review and discard the Personal Information. All information, other than Personal Information, that you send to Line 6 using these email links will not be considered or treated as confidential information. Do not send us any information, ideas, suggestions, proposals, or comments that you consider confidential or that you want to be treated as confidential.
Chat, Message Boards and User Postings
If you choose to provide Personal Information through your participation in chat sessions, forums, bulletin boards, email exchanges or newsgroups in connection with your use of the Website, that information is public and immediately available to anyone who has access to this site; it is not private. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the site visitor's computer and used to gather and keep track of non-personal information related to you. Information collected through cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information. Cookies help Line 6 review the Website traffic patterns and improve the Website. Although many browsers are set to accept cookies, you can set your browser to reject cookies, but this may prevent you from using some of the convenience features the Website.
Sensitive Information
We do not request, and we ask that you not provide, "sensitive information," that is, Personal Information indicating medical or health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religions or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or information specifying sexual orientation. USE OF YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

We use Personal Information to respond to your inquiries, improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to analyze site usage, to improve the Website and our service offers, and to customize our services and the Website. We may use Personal Information to deliver information to you and to contact you regarding administrative notices. We may also use Personal Information to resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems.
We will use the information collected under the "Automated Data Capture" section above to prepare statistical data, to analyze and improve troubleshooting techniques and responses, and to improve the value of the materials and services available through the Website.
Required Disclosures
Line 6 may disclose Personal Information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to prevent injury or property damage. We will usually attempt to notify you when we are making such a disclosure, but we may not do so in an emergency or when we are prohibited by law or court order from giving such notice.
Information Sharing and Third Party Service Partners

Line 6 provides some of the Website's services through contractual arrangements with affiliates, service providers, partners and other third parties ("Service Partners"). Line 6 and its Service Partners use your Personal Information to operate their sites and to deliver their services. Line 6's Service Partners may also use your Personal Information to inform you of other products or services available from those Service Partners. If Line 6 becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in such transactions and provide reasonable notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. Line 6 allows you to opt out of our use of your Personal Information for purposes other than the purpose for which it was provided. This would include, by way of example, marketing and promotional mailings relating to Line 6 products and services. You may exercise this option at the time your Personal Information is collected by checking the appropriate ["NO THANKS"] box. And, in some cases, we ask you to affirmatively indicate your consent to receive marketing and promotional materials. If you do not affirmatively indicate your consent to do so, we will not send you any additional materials other than those required by our specific agreement with you.
YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
Line 6 collects various types of personally identifiable information about you during the course of our customer relationship. Under California law, if you are a resident of California, you may make a written request to Line 6 about how we have shared your information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. In response to your written request, Line 6 is allowed to provide you with a notice describing the cost-free means to opt-out of our sharing your information with third parties with whom we do not share the same brand name, if the third party will use such information for its direct marketing purposes.
If you would like to exercise your rights under California law, please send our written request to the email address or postal address below. Please include your postal address in your request. Within thirty (30) days of receiving your written request, Line 6 will provide you with a Third Party Direct Marketing Out-Out Form so you may request that your personal information not be disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Line 6 gives you access to a broad range of Personal Information Line 6 maintains about you. You can help Line 6 maintain the accuracy of your information by notifying us of any change to your Personal Information. Personal Information that we collect resides on servers located in Line 6's premises and is accessible only to personnel who, by virtue of their duties, are required to have access and have been trained in, and tasked with, the observance of the principles embodied in this Privacy Policy.
- We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using OpenSSL software (see www.openssl.org for more information).
- We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
- It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
