Why is it that last night it worked and when i use the AU manager in logic 9 it crashes the whole damn thing?
i did not spend over £100 on this plastic heap of rubbish for this to keep happening
you line 6 staff knew snow leopard was coming out so why no update?
this is lacking....very lacking
and once again why do i get no help or even acknowledgement from line 6 staff.
your company is terrible and with the amount of "help" your giving your customers you outta be ashamed of yourselves. iv spent a lot of money trying to get your...frankly "half arsed" equipment to work and recieved no help or advice in doing so
Hello,
Off the bat I cannot answer why it worked last night and why it does not work now. Can you reproduce the crash every time? What are the specs of your system? What Line 6 hardware and software versions do you have? Logic is most likely generating a log file if it is crashing. Can you attach that file to this thread?
Line6Miller
its about time somebody answered me my original post was ages ago now.
well i could get to the log if it didnt crash my machine.
basically im on a 27inch i7 iMac using a studio ux2
i recently updated the beta drivers. it works fine in standalone and i have the newest version of podfarm.
its now passing AU validation but it when i go to insert podfarm into one of my tracks it crashes my whole system and i have to hard reset.
any ideas?
The crash logs are really going to help us determine what's going on. So, let's see if we can get them attached to this thread.
To find Logic crash logs go to HD>Users>Username>Library>Logs>Logic
To find your Mac crash logs go to HD>Library>Logs>Crash Reporter.
If you can attach these logs to the thread that would be great. Also, if you have not done so already, fill out your support profile at http://line6.com/account/supportprofile/.
And finally, if this is a consistent crash, tell me how you are able to do reproduce it. I'll need that information when I log the bug. Thanks.

well basically i open logic as normal, i make a new audio track and i try to insert podfarm,
it doesnt do anything then the swirling loading icon pops up and then nothing happens however if i try to click anything on my dock it freezes that too.
the log is attached

Thanks for the crash log. In your last post you mentioned that Logic is freezing however in your first post you say that it "crashes the whole darn thing". Is Logic the only app that is freezing? Is the whole Mac freezing? Is the Mac actually crashing?
Line6Miller
Well from my first post things have changed
basically it completely hangs logic. and im unable to force quit it which in turn freezes my dock completely thought the machine itself doesnt hang but im unable to click anything, so the only option i have is to hard reset as nothing will force quit
Thanks. Is that log file you attached a crash log for your Mac or for Logic? Or both? I just want to make sure I have everythign in place before I log a bug. Again, you can make this happen every time?
Also, would you be able to fill out your support profile for me and be as detailed as you can? Thanks.

thats for my mac as i said it doesnt get to the crash log stage in logic because i have to hard reset for anything to work again. and yeah i can make it happen everytime
Thanks again.
OK. So please let me know if this recipe is accurate or if I need to adjust anything.
1. Connect POD Studio UX2 to computer via direct USB port
2. Launch Logic 9 (latest version?) and create a new session
3. Set audio preferences appropriately. (Input/Output device to be m-audio profire 2626)
4. Create an audio track in Logic 9
5. Insert an instance of POD Farm Plug in onto audio track
Result is Logic freezes and needs to be force closed.
Is this about it?
Line6Miller
thats exactly right miller.
i even tried some peoples methods of re-installing the drivers etc an not the standalone in pod farm but it didnt work
Very frustrating all of this!!
Had the same problem. After I downloaded and installed the beta drivers, i was able to connect my POD Xt Live without the kernal panic. Even got Gear box to work. Then when I down loaded PoDfarm to use with Logic 9 - back to the drawing board everytime I connected POD XT Live. I backtracked and realised that when I installed PodFarm, the audio drivers were re-installed. Looks like this install wrote over the Beta version and rendered it useless. So I uninstalled the L6 drivers, reinstalled the beta driver and reinstalled PodFarm but de-selected "audio drivers" on the installer..... (only POD Farm AU is installed) ......everything works, but I notice clicks and pops when recording using Pod Farm AU plugin. This proble could be avoided in the first place if the audio drivers in the PoD Farm were updated to Beta versions by L6????????????
Cheers Guys.
Here's my system.log

Setup: iMac 27" i7 - Logic Pro 8.02 - GuitarPort (as a dongle) - Gearbox 3.70 - Beta midi driver 4.2.6
Gearbox works as a standalone program but the plug-in won't work with Logic or with GB. Hope these logs will help.
Hello,
So you're getting Kernel panics with the newest driver? Are you sure you have the newest driver installed? Did you by chance update the driver and then reinstall POD Farm or Gearbox?
