line6 pod studio ux1 + windows 7 home premium

Ok, I got a new laptop which first had vista premium 32 bit on it. ux1 was useless with it. so much noise came from it i cant even playback any audio because you cant hear it over the crackling noise.

Then i got the windows 7 32bit upgrade and its even worse!! noise is the same but now louder, now i cant hear ANY sound except the horrible crackling from the ux1

i have downloaded monkey and all of the windows 7 beta drivers as recommended by line6 but it has made no difference.

why has it taken this long to get the problems sorted with vista/windows 7??

i am seriously thinking of selling this pile of rubbish they called the ux1 and buying an m-audio or guitar rig unit instead.

last line6 product I will EVER EVER buy!! (this isn't the first problem iv'e had with line6 either by the way)

im running an Acer Inspiron 5536 w/ amd 2.2Ghz, 4GB Ram and 500GB HD with windows 7 home premium 32bit

I found that my wireless NIC (network interface card) was making a lot of noise in Vista.  When I disconnected from the network or temporarily disabled the network device, the noise went away.  Try that and see if there is any difference.
