attention i praymmy pc window7 32 bit + pod x3 live and driver beta every 20minute o 10 minute ends to work because?i must always reactivar pod x3 live ,solution pleaseeeeeee!!!!!! grazie roberto
I also have Win7 x64 and used to use Vista driver which caused blue screen every couple of days. I've installed the beta driver now, we'll see if it improves stability. Don't worry about the 32bit installer, 64bit driver must be included as well I suppose since it works fine.
BlueScreen Problems
I am running 32bit win 7 with manually downloaded driver 3.4.3.9 since I had crashes with the vista driver
I am having the same bluescreen crashes about every 2 hours when using pod farm with win 7 driver. So nothing changed for me at all no matter what driver I am using.
When I look at my Bluescreen View results I see that both vista and win 7 drivers have the same version # 3.4.3.9, also the driver name is exactly the same: L6TPortB.sys and the crashes are always caused by the same address: L6TPortB.sys+110b1
The file description for both drivers is also the same: GuitarPort WDM Audio Device Driver and the Product name is listed under: GuitarPort
Could this be my problem? I have a toneport UX2, not a GuitarPort and I am very sure that I downloaded the correct drivers. Monkey recognizes my UX2 and as I said I can jam for about 2 hours until my next BlueScreen crash.
I am using a Dell XPS M1330 laptop with 4 Gigs of ram
Please Line 6 try to help with that problem and let me know if Vista driver is exactly the same as win 7 driver. It sure looks like that to me when watching the crash results.
Regards
Michael
the client support is that amazing BAD here on line 6!
where are the drivers for windows 7?!!!. i wan't to use pod x3 pro in a pro way, need to have stability. who wan't to install that beta crap, read above for stability.
please line 6 stop sleeping!!!!
What's taking so long for yall to make a update version for windows 7
because I want to use my line 6 Tone Port ux2.... ASAP![]()
can yall give us a date when ur gone to release it
Yes - this is ridiculous.I'm not a tech expert - I play the guitar and don't want to spend hours installing unsupported software on my new PC.
I could live without Gearbox(but don't see why I should have to - I spent money on it) and use another amp software package, but it's the Toneport drivers incapatability that makes my UX2 redundant to me.
Anyone know of any software that has amp/effect features but with recording features that isn't compliacted i.e Ableton. Anyone know anything about Mixcraft 4?
HEY LINE 6 THIS IS PATHETIC. I HAVE THREE WORDS FOR YOU -- CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
I have my UX2 running perfectly in Win 7. I downloaded the Vista drivers and then right clicked, properties, and chose to run the drivers/intstaller in Win Vista SP2 mode. So far no crashes or anything of the sort...been over a month now. Try that for now guys but I do agree that Win 7 is the best MS has offered to date and for Line 6 not having any support or legit drivers yet is not right. I mean Win 7 has been out in Bet a for almost a year...they should have been testing back then. ![]()
Line6 I think you have fallen flat on your face on this one. I tried your beta drivers and it wouldn't even recognize my gearbox, It just locked up my computer. Tried several diffenent options with no luck. I think you have lost me as a customer and I will passing along the word to any potential buyers no support beta versions have been around for almost a year. You are asleep at the wheel. Great product poor customer service aned support. I will be using amplitube plugins and sansamp and eleven. I also have native inst. combos. Line6 Thanks for nothing!!!!!!!!!!
Downloaded the BETA drivers. Blue screen of death twice in one hour. C'mon guys, this is very frustrating.
Blue screens and lock ups and freezes !! Great! Thank you line6 !
Guys...install Monkey, the Drivers, and Gear Box/POD Farm via right clicking on the files and choosing compatibility mode. Use Windows XP SP3. It will work 100% without any issues that way (never had a freeze up or crash ever)! The only thing that it does work on, and I am royally pi$$ed about, is Line 6 Edit! It does not recognize the Windows 7 Java installation so I have no way to program and rearrange my Pod XT Live effect banks! I am jamming tomorrow and I am now SCREWED!
What really upsets me is the lack of Line 6 moderators coming in and ATLEAST letting us know what the status is on the new drivers! Are they working on them, did they just say screw it, are they sorry? Is this how loyal paying customers should be treated? Come on Line 6...throw us a bone here so we know what is up. You will have a lot more respect if you do.
Bobenis, if you type 'refresh' on the activate purchase button (optional tab, Monkey) does it update okay for you?
Also Bobenis, is that using the current supported driver or the Win 7 beta driver?
Many Thanks
@ jonmy76
Well Monkey detects all my gear (POD XT Live and UX2) however it does not work per say as it did in XP. All it shows is that Monkey is up to date but does not show any of my gear and what the firmware or driver versions are at all...surprise!
I have just ignored Monkey for the most part as you can install the drivers and Gear Box & POD Farm without it. The activate button on Monkey does work 100% as well.
Also, I downloaded the Vista drivers for everything (Monkey, drivers, Gear Box, and POD Farm) and then chose to run them in Vista SP2 compatibility mode and they work without an issue ![]()
Okay thanks for the reply. That is pretty consistent with my Monkey experience. I can set my PODxt up with Monky on an old XP machine and I long as I don't use it with Monkey on Win 7 then things don't get any worse!
I am uninstalling my PODxt Drivers and re-installing in XP compat mode and will see if that helps with the audio drop outs I get. If it does maybe this info is useful for others.
Cheers
Hi all!
1st post on these boards!
Bought an X3 Pro today and have been hooking it up and installing drivers etc all afternoon.
Everything seems fine except i CANNOT get pod farm to recognise my pod. I have tried installing it in various compatibility modes (i run Win 7 Ultimate 64Bit).
Any ideas?
cheers!
PodFarm is not X3-compatible
GearBox is the editor for it; if you wish activating the PodFarm PLUGIN in your X3, follow the 'refresh' procedure shown in http://www.line6.com/community/docs/DOC-4738
cheers ![]()
could now please somone from line 6 post a date for the official drivers for 64bit w7? and does pod farm run on a 64bit system? need to bridge it (jbridge) or when do we get a 64 bit pod farm plug?
it is really no more funny now. want to get a 64bit system but the only company does not have working and tested drivers for the hardware is LINE 6. god damn it, remember that your clients are the persons you get the money from at the end of the month..
3.4.4 or something are the lates drivers. They're working fine for me.
sure? on a 64bit windows 7 system?
they are good working too, but on my xp machine.
the latest drivers are for xp/vista as i can see, do not see any w7 compatibility so far. and that means it is not official tested for w7, or do i miss something?
Yes they definiately do I can confirm this!.
Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)
Hardware: Intel DualCore, Asus P5Q mainboard, Nvidia GTX 260, additional Creative SB Audigy Z2 Soundcard.
Installed drivers: 3.4.4.0 for use with a POD X3 Live.
http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=3017
POD X3 Live was recognized at once. I use it in combination with Cubase 5 and Line6 Gearbox (which works for me on Windows 7 too). No blue screen and no audio issues. Works perfect.
PS: Windows 7 is a one day fresh install. So I do not have much other stuff running yet that might cause issues!
Yup can confirm driver ver 3.4.3.9 works like a charm under win7 ultimate 64Bit, as does GB,
You have to install them under win xp sp3 compatibility mode though.
I just wish they would gt round to sorting pod farm and the vst plugins as they currently do not work under my OS.
The problem is that its very flakey. I had it working for over a month perfectly on Windows 7 OS. Then all of a sudden (or maybe after there was a automatic patch) there was lots of distortion in the sound (which lots of people have complained about) and now it completely does not work. You should NOT be using this software Windows 7. Thats the best advice i can give.
driver pod x3 four window 7 okkkkkkkkkkkkkk (you instal driver four vista line6 drivers (v3.4.3..8. installer) sound perfect!!!!!!
(no installer beta drivers pod x3 x3....ecc..... NO!
gerardux1 is right.
only problems with that beta driver. could some moderator or other line 6 guy let us know when we get official w 7 drivers?!!
When I download from here for my UX8 it tries to install for 32 bit (installs to the \program files (x86)\ directory... which means 32 bit). Is there a 64 bit driver out there yet?
