I just purchased this, i went looking for any updates but couldnt find any. Are there any? i also went to register my software but couldnt find my software listed. mine is authorized thru iLOK. Do i need to register this at line 6?

Where do I go to download specific artists' sounds to put onto my POD version 2.0?

My friend sold me his guitar a few months ago and he gave me his POD version 2.0 with it. He told me a long time ago, he downloaded sounds from bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana from online and was able to transfer and save those sounds into his POD, but this was not the POD he sold me. He did this with his other POD, which might be an more recent version than the one he gave me. I really want to be able to play specific sounds from my favorite bands through my POD, but my question is where online would I go to get these sounds and is it free? My guess is that my POD version 2.0 is too old to even support this function and that I would need a newer version of the POD and a program like POD Farm? I really want to know the answer to this. I would appreciate any help.

2x12 4x12 missing on pod xt pro

when i press the i/o dig i get to the page what are you connecting to and i cannot get the studio direct to change to 2x12 ,4x12 also the series fx loop and spdif digout are missing from the same page.

the firmware is version 3

do i have to set this to turn the mics and room components of air ?

and if i wanted to go back to an earlier wesion of the firmware how would i do this.

pod farm and reaper

reaper recognizes podfarm in my vst and when I turn on my fx (green) and add podfarm I get complete silence and cannot adjust sound fx. I add another fx and uncheck podfarm and I can work my fx and adjust, then I turn on podfarm and get silence again, no possibility to adjust. What's up with this

UX1 Stalling Propellerhead Record on Launch

Hi Guys,

I’m pretty unsatisfied here and completely under awed with with my UX1 so far...

My intention was to initially use the UX1 as a dongle to expand the Line 6 amps in Record but I have several issues. I shall sent these out.

1) I now have the UX1 up and running, but if it is plugged in Record stalls when it gets to the launch splash screen. It then proceeds to crash my Mac entirely. If I unplug the UX1 Record launches fine.

2) There were not any installation instructions in the package I received, although I have so far pretty much worked it out.

3) There is now a hum on my right hand M-Audio BX5a Monitor, this is new and I am worried it may be due to...

4) When the UX1 crashed my Mac the first time I had my Lexicon Alpha plugged in and monitors on in anticipation of the great sounds I was going to get with my new UX1 and Record. However what I did get was a very loud crack which seems to have blown the inner workings of the Alpha, and possibly damaged the Monitors!!

So presently I cannot use the UX1 to listen to Record and my existing soundcard is blown.

Pod Farm issue

Hello,

I downloaded Pod Farm and it is preventing me from using the Model Packs that I have purchased and that are available in my POD X3.

I cannot remove my iLok as I will no longer be able to use much of my software and so I can now no longer use my POD X3.

Is there a way to fix this?

Problem of licence key for UX1

Hello,

Today I bought a line 6 UX1, installed all the components, but, I don't have the licence key on my internet line 6 account and and with my product, So for the moment, my UX1 doesn't work, and I have no sounds with.

I have the bill and serial number. Please could you help me, telling me how to have the licence key, to finish the installation?

How do I uninstall Audio-midi control panel?

I started this query a couple of weeks ago because I couldn't get any sound via my pod xt or KB37 from any program on my computer until I had started Monkey. I got ill last week and couldn't get to my computer so Line 6 marked it as answered after a couple of days .....so here goes.

I bought a new Dell Studio 1557 specifically for recording (no laughing at the back there). It came with windows 64 bit Vista SP2..(waits for howls of derision to stop). I have since ordered a free Windows 7 upgrade and now feel I am digging an even bigger hole. It's quite high spec and has the fast hard drive (7200) etc.

Anyroads, when I first installed the xt drivers, KB37 drivers, pocket pod software, Gearbox, Pod Farm, Monkey and music software (Cubase SX2, Reaper 64 bit trial, Guitar Pro), I could get no sound in or out of whatever device was connected (xt or KB37). I have no other USB devices attached, not even a mouse or keyboard.

When I played a file in the music software programs (or Windows Media, web browser etc), I couldn't hear anything although the transport panel cursor was moving.

When I opened Monkey however, everything worked, until I opened another project.

I uninstalled everything.

I installed my music software programs one at a time, tested then uninstalled them. This was without any Line 6 stuff installed.

They all performed fine using the default sound. I uninstalled everything (or so I thought)

I checked Windows media and youtube to see if I got sound from the computer. I did. I then plugged the xt in via USB (no drivers loaded). Predictably, the onboard sound ruled supreme through speakers and headphones.

Now I loaded JUST the xt drivers, nothing else. Windows found and installed the drivers, and the device. The pod is fully up to date with regard to flash, drivers etc. and connected to a 15W marshall practice stack via the Left Output. This has always worked no problem.

I checked pod xt (2 Speakers) came up in my options dialog box, which indeed they did, and were selected by default. Yippee. Device working properly etc, check.

No sound.

I looked in Control Panel (Windows), and lo, there was the Audio-midi control panel still there. It wasn't uninstalled via the Line 6 Uninstaller and there was no option in Add/Remove Programs to uninstall. Still, I opened it, changed the default rate to 24, clicked Apply and the sound came on! Through my amp.

I closed everything down, waited a while, opened windows media, started a track - no sound.

I opened Line 6 Audio-midi control panel, it had reverted to 16 bit, pulled down the menu again to 24, then changed it back to 16, clicked Apply - sound happened.

So to sum up..I get no sound via my pod xt until I open Line 6 Audio-midi control panel, then I just need to do something (anything) and the sound comes on.

I can't troubleshoot anything anymore because I cannot remove Line 6 Audio-midi control panel, there is no option anywhere.

I believe this to be the root cause of my trouble, but I can't do anything about it.

Help, please.

what free software download do I GET ? I JUST BOUGHT THE PODXT ANDWHAT I DOWNLOADED DIDN'T WORK AND HAD ISSUE WITH JAVA---AND MY JAVA IS UP TO DATE VERSION. ALSO I WANT TO STOP THE COMMUNITY MESSAGE AND DON'T REMEMBER HOW I TUNED IT ON. THANK YOU !

UX2 and Foot Controllers

I was just looking at the foot controllers available. When looking at the compatibility tables I found that there was no mention of the UX2. So I'd like to know whether this means none of the foot controllers are compatible? or was there just no data? or will I have to find an alternative...

Furthermore, I have read in places it is possible to "assign" "any footswitch" to POD Farm, now i have tried and tried but have had no success. Are there footswitches in particular? or is there something specific i need to do? I would love to see the process described to me rather than just being told to "Assign" stuff.
